Preparing party favors or what some call "loot bags" for the kids are a great way to say "Thanks for attending our party". They provide the little ones with theme related toys and goodies to bring home with them after the day is done.

More and more common today, stores are sprouting up everywhere online offering everything from individual item selections for your favor bags to complete kits based on the number of guests attending your party.

These complete kits include the favor bags themselves along with a pre-set number of individual toys and other theme related goodies for you to place into each bag.

Don't feel you need to purchase these kits however. You can easily select your own party favor items and design your own loot bags to offer your guests as they leave your home after the party is over.

Are You Crafty? - Put a skill you already have to good use. If you have a hobby making candles, jewellery or scrap-booking, use that talent to make your own party favors. The possibilities are endless....T-shirts, cupcakes, etc....if it's your hobby, find a way to blend it into your party favors.

Easy on the Sugar - The first thing people usually think of putting into their favor bags is candy. We recommend limiting your bags to only one or two pieces of candy. The kids parents will appreciate this as will their dentists. Also, by including more items like toys and gadgets, you'll keep the kids entertained much longer as candy tends to be eaten right away.
